Knoxville Cancer Relay Looking for Continued Donations to Reach Fundraising Goal | KNIA KRLS Radio - The One to Count On

The Knoxville Cancer Relay is looking for continued donations to reach their fundraising goal.

The team members who run across the entire state of Iowa in September and organize the large cancer fundraiser annually are just about $12,000 shy of their $50,000 fundraising goal for the American Cancer Society. Jayme Braida with the cancer relay said they are never going to stop fighting.

“Last year we had another team member get diagnosed with cancer. Cancer is not stopping. It’s continuing to affect our own team who is fighting against it. We just know we can’t stop the fight against cancer and we won’t stop. That’s why you see team members who continue to run and race and fundraise.”

If you would like to help the Knoxville Cancer Relay reach their fundraising goal you can donate by following this link. The donation page will stay open until Friday. The KCR will also hold a Hy-Vee tailgate on Friday from 5:00-6:30 pm in the Knoxville Hy-Vee parking lot.
